Further to that:

Spotted the below email on the ADUG list (Aussy Delphi User Group)

from Malcolm Groves with regards to that linked article confirming

that this does not effect DTG/DevCo.

How does all this effect you Richard?  If your still there?

Nahum.

---------------

Hey guys,

> Any comments about this link.

I'll make one. This wasn't super clear in the article. The 300 people

mentioned do NOT include the folks who are now part of the DTG

(Developer Tools Group. The thing we've been referring to as Devco), the

almost-independent division which will eventually be spun-off. I say

almost-independant as we still have a few people in transition roles

(they couldn't just walk away from prior responsibilities overnight),

but the plan is that from July 1, everyone in the DTG will be focussed

100% on DTG products, not ALM or DPG.

As to the plans for the DTG products and the spinoff, I'll be able to

share more at the Symposia. As to who the potential investors are, I

can't say. C'mon, I've been waiting for this to happen for years now,

I'm not about to get fired for leaking on the eve of it finally

happening :-)

Just to be really clear, the restructure does NOT affect the DTG.

Oh, and if you have any good ideas for a company name, I'm listening :-)

Cheers

Malcolm

Interesting article, especially this bit "...Borland has folded Customer Support into Research and Development to improve responsiveness to customers...".  Sounds a bit odd to me, R&D guys doing customer support.  That would piss me off.

Sounds like DevCo is not part of this though.
