I have a weird problem with this construct.
interface var Proxy_Server : ansistring = ''; In some apps only, it fails in the finalization of the app. If this is commented out or the ansistring is changed to shortstring then its fine. Unfortunately, I cant get my head around the assembler getting executed at that time in vcl's finalization code. Since its global, it stands to reason that it can only be freed in the initialization. But why is there a problem ? Has anyone else come across this ?
