Re DPR file missing units: I am sure that is not it....I have seen it underline references in uses clause like Sysutils or Classes and produce error messages like "unable to resolve reference to TButton" - i.e. it is democratic and complains not just about my source, the Borland stuff gets rasberried at times too...
And I have checked the dpr (Project/View Source) and the local unit uses clause to make sure that something obvious is not missing. I have also been into Project/Options to check for odd settings there. I will try the Tools/Options next time and see what that does... I think it as a small comfort and amusement actually.....whenever I get something simple and highly visible in one of my programs that refuses to work and have a logical reason for not working I remember the code insight and think to myself "I am not the only one to cock it up in a highly visible manner".....fortunately most of my errors don't result in squiggly red lines all over the screen. :) This problem actually doesn't bother me at all seriously. The one of the ever increasing use of memory by the IDE until shut down and restarted does however....I have to watch the system and exit BDS before the system gets so short of memory that quitting BDS sometimes doesn't even work or takes forever and a day. Seriously though if these are the worst problems then its not so bad. Anyone from Borland/Devco reading this thread?
