You are right, BUT is it my understanding that it’s a command only? i.e. ADDNEWUSER but then I need to define the parameters for the new user. The other part of this is, how would a C++ / Java developer know how to construct the data that needs to be sent?
This is why I was goig with the HTTP Server acceptring HTTP Posts because then any language pretty much can do HTTP Post etc..... Nothing too scary, BUT > I didnt want to have to go down the whole TCPIP build your own nasty > system, just something simple, that is just a command and a reply, > which HTTP works fine for and I dont have to worry about connections etc. etc. Well a simple TCPServer app is not at all complicated. However look at TidCmdTCPServer in Indy. I suspect it is just would you want. ---------------------------------------------------------- Phil Scadden, Institute of Geological and Nuclear Sciences 764 Cumberland St, Private Bag 1930, Dunedin, New Zealand Ph +64 3 4799663, fax +64 3 477 5232 _______________________________________________ Delphi mailing list [email protected] http://ns3.123.co.nz/mailman/listinfo/delphi -- No virus found in this incoming message.
