Hi,
We tried to install IB7.5 on "Windows Vista Ultimate, RC1 Evaluation
copy, Build 5600" and get the foolowing error messages:
"You must be root to run the Interbase installer"
And after this message:
"This Application has Unexpectedly Quit
Invocation of this Java application has caused an
InvocationTargetException. This application will now exit. (LAX)"
Click on "Detail" button it says:

We've tried to copy "ib75_install.exe" file to C:\ and run it from there
and get the same result.
IB6 installs ok however and our apps run happily on Win Vista/IB6.
Has anyone managed to install IB7.5 on Vista?
What's the work around?
