I read that one issue with Vista is that apps can not (by default) write
to \program files\. Does anyone know what MS's suggested right way of
doing this is...
i.e. Store app in program files but store files in Docs and settings or
are they encouraging people to store their exes outside of /program files/
It will be interesting to see how BDS 2007 deals with this. (BDS 2006
and below all failed this test)
We have frequently written small 1 off apps that write ini files into
the same dir as the exe.
