What will happen when the .net addition of version comes out. Its
that still
convered by software assurance? (so long as its still curernt)
As long as your software assurance is current and for the Studio line
(BDS 2006 is a studio product) you will get all studio releases within
your SA period. Delphi 2007 for Win32 is a studio product. Highlander
will be a studio product. The Turbo's and Delphi for PHP are not
studio products.
Yes - so to answer another question which I think you are implying -
which is when will it turn up on my doorstep? The answer is that the
current process in Codegear (via Borland) takes between 6 and 8 weeks to
complete. The *alternative* is to change your SA to Electronic Delivery
in which case you will get the key and link to the download within a
week (I understand) of RTM. *How* you do this I don't know, I have a
question in to Support.
So even if your SA expires before you get the product (and for some
reason you don't renew), if it expires after the release date of the
product, you will still receive it.
