Yep,

Seen that kind of issue before with software. The answer is to reduce
the time to GMT standard first before doing a compare.

Subject: [DUG] Daylight Saving & File DateTime Problem ?

Morning all,

We maintain a centralised repository of resource files and our customers
use our software to synchronise their local copies with the repository
by comparing several attributes of files on each end.

Since the end of NZ Daylight Saving our Australian customers are forced
to unnecessarily download all files that have not been modified what so
ever, we suspect this is caused by the DLS as one of the attributes we
compare is the file's last modified time stamp.

Has anyone had this problem before and what's your advise?

Regards

Cheng Wei
