initially (after the first quick check based on codi and ds) it looked like we
are talking about ~20% of the whole codebase (classes + metadata). after
checking it in a bit more detail it's more around 15%. with using 'abstract'
for util classes i think we can keep it around 10%. i'm ok with deploying about
10% of ds (per application) which we could avoid.
