we could change it back to a string which is called e.g.
MessageSourceIdentifier or ResourceIdentifier -> to keep the resource-keys in a
single place you would need a public static var.
i'm ok with changing it to a simpler identifier instead, but we should document
that it is useful to keep the identifier in one place and that the ide support
doesn't help to find existing identifiers provided e.g. by a jar (which would
be possible with the current prototype).
