By example libevince3 (2.32.0-1) where removed on "Mon, 17 Oct 2011"[0] Right now, in any Debian Sid system "up to date", you can only install libevince3-3. As you can see here: http://packages.qa.debian.org/e/evince.html The current package of evince in Sid only provides libevince3-3. Debian Developers in charge of gnome are making the transition to Gnome3 (so nautilus and evince are using gtk3 now)[1]. Fedora[2] and ubuntu[3] are also using gnome3 (evince 3.x and libevince3-3). Maybe this is a good reason to start thinking about denemo+gtk3. Cheers.
