As you can see in the latest check-in there are commands under the Input->Keyboard menu for choosing the basic mode of operation (what the number keys and the note name keys do). These are just tentative suggestions. If you have one that you use yourself please let me know, or create a similar script. I will make one that includes the mouse click to insert notes command that was suggested in another email, I just need to know what else goes with that. I guess we need a way of letting the user make one of these commands their default (well, of course, there are already ways to do this, but we need something that requires no effort on the part of the user - a sort of sticky command). Those that like modal programs could put these commands on the button bar and use them as mode-switchers. With that I think we have plenty for a release ...
