Follow-up Comment #1, bug #38872 (project denemo):
I think there is a much simpler way to set multi-measure rests on the entire
movement with one LilyPond command, which will make the current command much
less important.
If someone looks it up in the LilyPond docs I can quickly add it to Denemo -
something like \compressMultiMeasureRests placed somewhere in the output.
