I introduced the term "Chord Symbols" in Denemo as a synonym for "Fake Chords", LilyPond seems just to call them "Chord Names" http://www.lilypond.org/doc/v2.16/Documentation/notation/chord-notation > > 2) palettes: it's usually referred to colors (in which case I would > have the right translation: tavolozza/tavolozze). Any hint? > (especially from non english speakers? > Maybe it's a kind of synonim of panel? palette was the name in use in Denemo starting 10 years or so ago, I just perpetuated it, I am not sure if there is a more up-to-date English name in the world of graphical user interfaces. And I'm not sure what "panel" would mean today in this context. "Panel" refers in ordinary English to a (usually flat, rectangular) piece of solid material for enclosing something or a similar piece erected to display things on its surface. If there is a now well-established English term for these boxes of button widgets then we should perhaps change Denemo to use the new terminology. > > > 3) Slur/Accidental avoidance removed > Why removed? ??? what is removed??? I can see this (in the new command manager): Avoids slur colliding with accidental (Print) Location: Object Menu->Notes/Rests->Slurs Internal Name: AvoidSlurAccidentalCollision > From the following description I understand that the purpose is > avoiding the collision between slur and accidentals. > > > Use only on a slur start to make the slur avoid accidentals on > following notes where does this come from? > > > > 4) SetTabStrings.xml: > <_tooltip>Sets the open strings for tablature\nto the notes of the > current chord.</_tooltip> > \n is correct? Or <br /> should be used instead? I think it should be \n to cause a line break; in some places tooltips are displayed without automatic breaking into lines.
