Follow-up Comment #7, bug #43439 (project denemo):
The comment about stream_callback() (in portaudio.c) doing heavy work is
valid; set Edit->Change Preferences->Audio->Max Recording Time to 0
and that will disable this code. I think this field defaults to zero, but we
should make that explicit.
