Thank you, Richard. I ended up taking out all the line breaks which eliminated the spreading out problem, but does not allow me to specify the page turn measures. It would be nice to be able to control how many measures are in a particular system for this purpose. Or do others have a better way around this problem? I will use denemo for piano pieces a lot and then I almost always want to be able to control page turns for my own sanity at the other kind of keyboard :) thanks again, -Ellen
