Follow-up Comment #2, bug #44192 (project denemo):
The use case is writing arrangements. Typically, an existing melody is typed
in first. Then other voices are written into other (previously empty) staffs,
often working at two or three voices simultaneously. The rhythm of these
voices is not a-priory clear, but may be worked out within the composition
process, where several possibilities are tried out.
