Follow-up Comment #1:
Upgrade to the latest version. Then when your right click you get Run Object
Editor
In the object editor you can see the two footnote directives attached to the
two notes (plus one that is attached to the chord).
You can delete the unwanted one attached to the note with the Delete button.
In older versions the Advanced Edit sometimes couldn't find the directive to
delete.
