Details:
under Advanced there is .... \footnote "*" #'(0 . 3.5) \.... where I have
put 3.5 to put it up a bit from the 2 it started with
that shifts the "*" up a bit, this needs to be under easy user control
Also there is no warning that standalone footnote doesn't work before a chord,
only before a note.
