this implies that the music you want is already in notation form - MIDI contains less information than that and so is a bad way to go. Is there an ABC->lilypond or NWC->lilypond? or to musicXML? > I am reluctant to type in notes if I don't have to! I know the feeling - do you have a MIDI keyboard (and the keyboard skills to make it useful)?
