Follow-up Comment #1:
Only with difficulty. The user can (in principle) fix this by customizing
their "theme" but getting control of widgets from within Denemo will require a
serious attack on GTK's theming, and, worse it will be different for Gtk2 and
3.
We are going to have to live with it until an enthusiast for GTK programming
comes along.
