Richard,
Regarding your questions:Does this "successfully" mean that it actually works?
Denemo will open "successfully", only if I open it via the terminal window by
pasting this address:
/Users/anthonyventura/Desktop/Desktop/Denemo.app/Contents/MacOS/denemo.sh

Did you get rid of old .denemo-xxx folders first?I'm so sorry, but I have no
idea what you're referring to
Can other Mac users open Denemo and see the Lilypond preview window
successfully?
Thanks for continued assistance. Kind regards,Tony Venturawww.tonyventura.com

I can see three possible versions you may mean listed at
http://www.denemo.org/~jjbenham/gub/uploads/?C=M;O=D

[ ]    denemo-0.0.0-0-darwin-x64.tar.bz2    2017-05-08 12:27     200M
[ ]    denemo-2.1-darwin-x64.tar.bz2    2017-05-08 10:41     199M
[ ]    denemo-2.1-0.darwin-x64.tar.bz2    2017-04-19 23:41     175M

Does this "successfully" mean that it actually works? Did you get rid of
old .denemo-xxx folders first?

It sounds like a link to this executable is what should be on your
desktop then, but Jeremiah would know more about that
