Interesting...While in Denemo, I did comply with your instruction to export a
simple 2 bar file as PDF. I did not see any error messages when trying to
export, however, in the two times I did the PDF export nothing appeared in the
location I set, which was my Desktop. Kind regards,Tony

In that case, I wonder if there is a failure to set up a valid place for
the output of LilyPond. Could you try the PDF button in the Print View
(and for good measure File->Export As->Export PDF)?
Save it on, say, your desktop and see if it is correct.
