There has been a long-standing LilyPond problem with short movements when they are put on a page of their own - by default they spread out to fill the page, resulting in one system at the top and a second in the middle. The space from the Titles to the first system will also expand to absurd amounts. I've now created easy access to all the parameters involved (and hidden the old separate commands)
Command: Choose Titles and Systems Spacing Lets you choose parameters to control the vertical spacing between titles, systems and margins. Location: Object Menu ▶ Score ▶ Typesetter ▶ Print Layout ▶ Vertical Spacing Internal Name: SpacingParameters The absurd defaults seem to be the stretchability system to system and Titles to system. Setting these at 1 or 2 instead of the default 60 makes the typesetting of short movements appearing on a page of their own look pleasant. Richard
