closing barline in second ending

I have a second ending with one full measure which should also have a 
closing barline.  The typesetter displays the full measure I have 
defined along with an empty measure followed by the closing barline all 
inside the second ending.  I have not been able to eliminate the empty 
measure.  What have I done wrong?
