I haven't tried audiveris in recent years, but I have used Sharpeye
successfully a number of times. I find there is a cross-over point
where it becomes quicker to enter the music than to fix mistakes.
(Denemo has the quickest and least tedious note entry methods of any
program, as far as I know).
If you would like to post a (smallish!) sample of PDF and audiveris
output I could run the same PDF though Sharpeye for comparison.
