OK, being new to denyhosts, a configuration problem and an error on my part got my own IP listed. Because I'm using synching, my IP got sent to others. Now my mail server is having problems connecting to a variety of other servers. It could be a coincidence or it could be that they too use Denyhosts and sync, so they got my IP.
