I just upgraded to Ubuntu 8.04, and like a fool I did not save a copy of my nicely working denyhosts.cfg.
Everything seems to work except I am not getting any e-mails notifying me of added blocked IPs. I have the following in the cfg file: ADMIN_EMAIL = [EMAIL PROTECTED] SMTP_HOST = smtp.central.cox.net SMTP_PORT = 25 I have tried to use authentication and not use it, I have also played with the SMTP_FROM and nothing I have done thus far helps. I am not getting any mail error messages either (would/should these be in denyhosts log file?), so I am really stumped. I had it working just a few days ago, and from now on, when doing a clean install *will* save a copy of denyhosts.cfg (actually in my case, denyhosts.conf - from the ubuntu repositories). ____________________________________________________________________________________ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo!
