I'll have to add a monitoring mechanism for the db corruption issue since 
it might happen again in the future.

Yes, the stats page needs to be optimized and has been disabled 
purposefully.  Currently, it consumes too many resources to be generated 
as often as it used to be (when the db was much, much, much smaller).
