Hello,

I am using DenyHosts for a couple of years now. It is working excellent! The only thing is, that my own SSH-logins are always considered to be suspiscious and I dont understand why.

Some days ago I decided to get automatic e-Mails from DenyHosts of newly added denied hosts and suspicious logins. And of course, I also get an e-Mail now when I login by myself, because DenyHosts thinks I am "suspicious".

I am getting e-Mails in both scenarios:
1) When I login with my user account and password on SSH (I am using dynamic IP on my client, so I can not set my IP to allowed hosts). 2) Every ten minutes when Sparkleshare synchronizes via SSH (with keys) and Git (www. sparkleshare.org).

So I would like to know, why my own logins are considered to be "suspicious" and how I could change this.

Any help is appreciated! If you need more informations, feel free to ask!

Thank you,
Stefan

Get your SQL database under version control now!
Version control is standard for application code, but databases havent
caught up. So what steps can you take to put your SQL databases under
version control? Why should you start doing it? Read more to find out.
