Can you explain why we need two suites. There were changes made to Cloudscape (and thus in Derby) that automatically configure encryption based upon the running virtual machine, especially in JDK 1.4. I know the split of the encryption suites was before these changes were made, where previously the encyption provider had to be stated explicitly if it wasn't Sun's. Thus can we handle a single JVM indpendent suite now?
