The bin distribution contains a snapshot of the Derby web site itself.
The manuals it includes correspond exactly to the files available at
http://incubator.apache.org/derby/docs/10.0/ ; however, it also includes
some cruft that new users might find confusing, such as 6-month-old web
site pages and some broken links.
It's trivial for me to tar/zip up
http://incubator.apache.org/derby/docs/10.0 and that would provide a
clean downloadable wad of just the docs. I'll go ahead and do that today
or tomorrow.
