Mamta A. Satoor commented on DERBY-382: --------------------------------------- The format of the "DECLARE GLOBAL TEMPORARY TABLE" documentation page got changed from 10.0 documentation to 10.1 documentation. In my opinion, the 10.0 format at http://incubator.apache.org/derby/docs/10.0/manuals/reference/sqlj33.html#HDRDECLARETEMPTABLE is much clearer than the 10.1 format at http://incubator.apache.org/derby/docs/ref/ref-single.html#rrefdeclaretemptable. In 10.0, all the options of this sql are explained on one page along with the examples and restrictions at the bottom of the page. In 10.1, only part of the syntax is explained on the main page and for the rest of the syntax, there are links at the bottom of the page and this makes it hard to understand this sql in its entirety. I think John English's recent post on "Temporary tables not working??? " may have resulted from the fact that ON COMMIT DELETE ROWS is not listed as default on the main page. > Doc Review: Derby Reference Manual > ---------------------------------- > > Key: DERBY-382 > URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DERBY-382 > Project: Derby > Type: Improvement > Components: Documentation > Environment: all > Reporter: Jeff Levitt > Priority: Minor > Fix For: 10.1.1.0 > > This issue tracks comments for the Derby Reference Manual. If it's in > a subsection, try to include the hierarchy of titles. > - Please don't review the HTML Book copy -- it'll be time consuming to match > up that copy with the underlying DITA source. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira
