Rick Hillegas commented on DERBY-6000:
--------------------------------------
Committed derby-6000-22-aa-disableUnsupportedVetterForDerby10_9onJDK8.diff to
the 10.8 branch at subversion revision 1464120. There is no need to port this
fix to the 10.7 branch because the UnsupportedVetter test has already been
disabled when 10.7 runs on Java 7 or higher.

> Open JDK 8 will include maintenance rev 4.2 of JDBC. The public discussion of
> JDBC 4.2 will take place here: http://openjdk.java.net/jeps/170. We will want
> to build Derby support for JDBC 4.2 after a public spec appears. At this
> time, it is unclear what Derby release will carry this support.
