The 10.9.2 maintenance release was interrupted by the end-of-year website rototill and then by the community's focus on 10.10.1. In the meantime, we seem to have accumulated 4 separate 10.9 version ids in JIRA. I have collapsed these to the following:

10.9.1.0 - This is the existing, community-approved 10.9.1 release

10.9.2.2 - This is the head of the 10.9 branch. This is the version id applied to everything which was tagged with a 10.9 id other than 10.9.1.0.

I debated calling the head of branch 10.9.1.1. However, the actual release number in the 10.9 branch right now is 10.9.2.2. I think that some people in the community have already built distributions from the head of the 10.9 branch. Preserving the branch id seems safer to me.

The next release candidate cut from the 10.9 branch could be called either 10.9.2.3 or 10.9.3.0. I don't have strong religion about which is better.

Thanks,
-Rick
