labeling triaged bugs

I'd like to triage a block of bugs but I'm confused about how to label 
them. I see that other bugs have been labeled "derby_triage10_11". But 
when I click on the Label dropdown, I don't see that label. I could just 
type in the missing label but that seems error-prone. How are other 
people selecting a label for triaged bugs?
