Knut Anders Hatlen commented on DERBY-534:
------------------------------------------

Another thing that doesn't work yet, is recursive triggers with a WHEN clause.
They seem to always run into an assert failure (or NPE in non-debug builds). I
found a way to reproduce that problem without a WHEN clause too, so it doesn't
appear to be specific to the WHEN clause implementation. It's probably going to
be more likely to run into it with a WHEN clause, though.

> Support use of the WHEN clause in CREATE TRIGGER statements. The clause is
> described in the SQL standard (2003) in chapter "11.39 <trigger definition>"
> under "<triggered action>".
> There are traces in the code that suggests some work has been done on this
> earlier. If anyone knows something about this, please add a comment to this
> issue.
