Kim Haase commented on DERBY-6239:
----------------------------------
So it is the "Customizing the Network Server's security policy" topic that
needs to be updated, I gather.
I notice that the topic on the deregister=false attribute
(http://db.apache.org/derby/docs/10.10/ref/rrefattribderegister.html) says that
the attribute has no meaning for the network driver. If this is not the case,
should we revise that topic too?

> The documentation should mention the need for
> SQLPermission("deregisterDriver") during system shutdown on Java SE 8 and
> higher. The permission is only needed by derby.jar. It's an optional
> permission, only needed if system shutdown is invoked without the
> deregister=false attribute.
