Resolution: Won't Fix
Although several improvements have gone in (some improved error messaging, and
especially, adding of calls to wait for background commit tasks), and I've
added skipping of one set of checks that failed on one particular machine with
one particular JVM in the 10.8 branch, it is still possible that this test
might show instability. To eliminate that, we'd have to go through this test
and figure out in each case, which lock we're really interested in, and look
for that one only.
I do not intend to do that at this time, so I am closing this issue as 'Won't
Fix'. If this failure becomes prevalent, we can re-evaluate.
