Rick Hillegas commented on DERBY-6234:
--------------------------------------
Thanks for these changes, Kim. Everything looks good to me except for the
changes to cdevcsecure876908.dita and rrefproper37341.dita.
I'm not an expert on all the switches used to configure Derby's LDAP support.
However, it appears that the derby.user.$userName family of properties have a
meaning for LDAP authentication as well as for BUILTIN authentication.
Deprecating support for BUILTIN does not mean that we have deprecated support
for LDAP's use of this family of properties.
Thanks,
-Rick

> BUILTIN authentication is a scheme suitable only for regression tests. Many
> security problems make it inappropriate for production use. To avoid
> confusion and prevent users from selecting this insecure authentication
> scheme, we should remove references to it from our user documentation.
