Yes indeed, I followed your instructions and they work. (Sorry for the delay.)
I thought I saw a bunch of error messages going by, but they were the output of
one of the table functions.

I do believe the demo/programs/readme.html file needs to be revised (as part of
DERBY-6459) to reflect the changes here. The last sentence, about foreign
databases, needs to be removed. I think the middle bullet (Making a table out
of an XML file) is also obsolete.
