With DERBY-573 support was provided for derby specific optimizer overrides, by
using the --DERBY-PROPERTIES phrase in a query.
DERBY-6305 was regarding improvement in documentation.
A number of overrides are still referenced in the code but their workings needs
to be researched and possibly improved; tests need to be devised for them; and
they need to be documented.
Rick attached a spec to DERBY-6305 that can be used as the starting point for
this work:

A wiki page was created to refer to the undocumented properties:
