Bryan Pendleton updated DERBY-6773:
-----------------------------------
    Attachment: generateOnClientDoesntWork.diff

I'm attaching "generateOnClientDoesntWork.diff", which includes the
prototype code I put into the client's SqlException class, so that others
can look at the code I've been working on and the ideas I've been
pursuing.

Next (but not today), I'll start looking at the Sqlca class, to see how to
extract the message arguments from it.

> If a unique constraint is violated by an insert statement, then Derby throws
> an SQLIntegrityConstraintViolationException. The error message contains, in
> particular, the constraint name and the table name.
> To distinguish between cases with various constraints, Derby should instead
> throw a subclass of SQLIntegrityConstraintViolationException, with methods
> like getConstraintName(), and getTableName().
> See also https://hibernate.atlassian.net/browse/HHH-9516.
