Bryan Pendleton commented on DERBY-6808:
----------------------------------------

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

This is a 9 year old file, so there's a bit of history to crawl through.

Just eyeballing the various revisions, it looks like for the first few years,
we were putting each version into a separate "release" tag in the file.

The first version where seemed to change the pattern was revision 807344

Revision 807344 - (view) (download) (as text) (annotate) - [select for
diffs]
Modified Mon Aug 24 19:32:31 2009 UTC (5 years, 8 months ago) by rhillegas
DERBY-4344: First attempt to update the Derby website and publish the
10.5.3.0 release.

And since that revision we've been consistently following the new pattern.

:)

There are no notes that I can see in revision 807344 nor in DERBY-4344 about
intentionally changing the pattern, so I assume it must have been an accident,
5 years ago, that we didn't notice at the time and then just carried forward.

If nobody can recall a reason why we changed the pattern, I'll edit in the
missing tags.

I'm not sure if this affects any of our packaged releases, or if this file is
just something published to the web site. Hopefully it's only the latter.

> DOAP files can contain details of multiple release Versions, however each
> must be listed in a separate release section, for example:
> <release>
> <Version>
> <name>Apache XYZ</name>
> <created>2015-02-16</created>
> <revision>1.6.2</revision>
> </Version>
> </release>
> <release>
> <Version>
> <name>Apache XYZ</name>
> <created>2014-09-24</created>
> <revision>1.6.1</revision>
> </Version>
> </release>
> Please can the project DOAP be corrected accordingly?
> Thanks.
