Bryan Pendleton updated DERBY-6867:
-----------------------------------
    Attachment: index-page.diff

Attached index-page.diff contains my proposed
trivial-redirect page. It shows the user an explanation
that they have gone to the incorrect page, with a link
to the correct downloads page, and after a 4-second timer
it uses "meta http-equiv refresh" to send the user to
the correct downloads page.

This should be a one-time fix and we don't have to
maintain it with each new release, so there's no
change to the release process.

> The folder at http://db.apache.org/derby/releases is not intended
> to be navigated directly; the releases available for download are
> managed via http://db.apache.org/derby/derby_downloads.html
> We should include an index.html page at the raw releases directory
> so that if a user accidentally visits that page they don't get an
> auto-generated listing page from the underlying web server.
