I noticed in the documentation on
https://builds.apache.org/job/Derby-docs/lastSuccessfulBuild/artifact/trunk/out/tools/index.html
that database URL is italicized only once on the page. "Establishing a
connection to a specific database is done by specifying a appropriate database
URL". I dont know if this is intended or if the URL should be regular type
