yes : in

    maven2\README.txt

there's a reference to ".maven.org with "http". I've updated it to "https" 
along another http reference (2 lines below) to "mvnrepository.com" that get 
redirected anyway to https. No other ".maven.org" reference seems to appears in 
any Derby file, even after a standard build.

I've attached "DERBY-7065.maven2.README.diff" to the issue and, after reverting 
to trunk and applying the diff the sequence "ant clobber, ant all, ant 
buildjars" succeeds.
