That is a very interesting set of experiences. It's not obvious to me that all of these are necessarily best fixed via documentation. In some cases, it might be possible to also do things like: - improve the bundled scripts to be easier to use - re-arrange the directory structure to be more obvious (I was certainly confused by the concept of a "framework" when I first started with Derby). - issue better error messages for misconfiguration problems. I think it's wonderful that you're working on improving the documentation; I'm just observing that as you do so, it would be great if you could also keep an eye out for the possibility of improvements we could make to things like scripts, installer, etc. at the same time. thanks, bryan
