In the earlier mail in this thread, I had a table to explain the various 
server/client security mechanism combinations.  I hope the table  got 
rendered ok for people to read. 

I will try to attach a html file with this information to jira. . I 
tried to copy paste this mail to the jira entry but jira doesnt like the 
table format.
