I don't think for this test any of the console output needs to go to 
System.out.  The test is not for testing the console output.
I think that it would be sufficient just start with an alternate console, e.g. 
DerbyNet.out and all the console output can go there.  
I don't  understand why we need code to alter destination stream before and 
after shutting down network server
